Your Privacy Matters
Fina (the "App") is an iOS application designed to help you record and manage personal finances. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the App.
💡 Core principle: Your financial data is always stored on your own device and iCloud account. We do not collect your personal financial information, nor do we transmit it to our servers.
Data Collection
What We Collect
The App stores only the following information locally on your device:
Transaction records: Income and expense entries you input manually or via AI conversation (amount, category, date, notes)
Budget settings: Your monthly budget limits
App preferences: Currency, appearance theme, language, security lock settings, etc.
Category configuration: Your custom income/expense categories and their attributes
All of the above data is stored locally on your iOS device (via SwiftData) or in your personal iCloud account (if you enable iCloud sync).
What We Don't Collect
Information We Never Collect
Name, email address, or other identifying information
Location data
Device identifiers (such as IDFA)
Usage analytics or crash logs (no third-party analytics SDK is integrated)
Bank account or payment information
Contacts, camera, microphone, or other device permission data (unless you explicitly grant and use those features)
AI Features
AI Conversation & Recognition
The App includes AI-powered conversation logging and image recognition features. When using these features:
Text you enter or photos you take may be sent to a third-party AI service provider for processing
Current AI providers may include Alibaba Cloud (Qwen), OpenAI, and Google. Providers may change over time — refer to this Privacy Policy for the most current information
AI requests contain only the minimum information necessary for recognition — no account or identity information is included
Your financial data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to any server. Only the specific content you actively submit (message text or photo) is transmitted for AI processing
The content you send is processed in real-time and is not stored by AI providers or used to train AI models
If you prefer not to use AI features, you can enter all data manually
If you use AI features, please also refer to the privacy policies of the relevant AI service providers.
iCloud Sync
iCloud Data Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your financial data will be synced across your devices via Apple iCloud.
iCloud data is protected by Apple's encryption and is accessible only by you
Camera: Used to photograph receipts for AI recognition (only when you actively use the photo feature)
Face ID / Touch ID: Used for the app lock feature; biometric data is processed by iOS and never transmitted to the App
You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Data Retention & Deletion
You Control Your Data
You have full control over your data:
You can delete individual transactions or all data at any time within the App
Uninstalling the App removes all local data from your device
To delete iCloud data, go to iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage
Your Rights (GDPR)
Data Subject Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Right of access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Right to rectification: You can correct inaccurate data directly within the App
Right to erasure: You can delete all your data at any time within the App, or by uninstalling it
Right to data portability: You can export your data in CSV or JSON format using the App's export feature
Right to object: You can opt out of AI features at any time by using manual entry instead

Updates to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy changes significantly, we will notify you via in-app notifications or App Store release notes. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
